Glitter Hair Gel Kit

Making our Hair Gel:

Here's what's included in your kit:

• Sinful Seduction Fragrance Oil
• Flax Seed Whole
• Iridescent Radiance Purple Mica
• Cosmic Copper Mica
• Epsom Salt
• Aluminum Bottles
• Lotion Pumps (color varies)
• Optiphen Preservative

Other Ingredients & Equipment You'll Need: Scale, Distilled Water, Stove, Large Pot, Mixing Bowl, Stick Blender, Rubber Spatula, Fine Mesh Sifter, Paintbrush, Thermometer (sold separately)

Instructions:

1. Using your scale, weigh out 880 grams distilled water and 86 grams flax seed. Place both of these ingredients into a
   glass bowl. Then, using your mixing spoon, stir. Finally, cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator
   overnight.
2. The next day, use a spatula to scrap all of the water and flax seed into a pot. To this add 6 grams
   of Epsom Salt. Then, place the pot on the stove top and set the heat setting to high. Stir the mixture
   generously as it heats.
3. When the mixture reaches a consistent boil, reduce the heat setting to medium. Keep stirring.
4. Allow the mixture to cook for 5 minutes. When you notice the flax seed stays suspended in the gel,
   remove the pot from the heat source. Turn off your stove.
5. Carefully pour the mixture into the
   mesh strainer. Once the mixture is all there, rinse the pot out.
6. Caution the mixture is hot! Now, strain out as much gel as possible. Monitor the temperature of the gel with your thermometer. Once the temperature of the gel
   reaches 120 degrees Fahrenheit, add 6 grams of Optiphen and 26 grams of Sinful Seduction
   Fragrance Oil. Slowly and carefully, use your whisk to incorporate the fragrance oil and Optiphen into the
   gel.
7. Optionally, add about 1/8 tsp of each mica and stir.  Or, mix as you go and use the glitter on those days you truly want to sparkle. In small bowl, add a couple tablespoons of the gel and a pinch of each mica. Then, use a paint brush to paint streaks of glitter where you would like to see some sparkle.
8. When the gel has cooled, place your funnel into your bottle, and fill. Repeat to fill the remaining bottles. Then, apply a pump to each bottle.
